eFoilcast is in open beta. The forecast model is tuned on real sessions, so the most useful thing you can do is ride and tell it what you found.
What to try
- Find your spot. Search or zoom the map. If it is missing or in the wrong place, tell us with a pin or a description.
- Save it. Create an account, tap Save on the spot, and the home screen becomes your spots with today's Go windows.
- Tune it. Tap Tune on a spot page and drag the sliders to your tolerances — how much wind, chop and current you will ride in, and where you will not launch at low tide.
- Log every session — good ones and bad ones. Two taps: water state and whether the forecast was right. Photos welcome. Mark it private if you prefer; it still trains the model.
- Share a forecast with a riding partner from the Share button and see if they agree with it.
What we want to hear
- Hours where the score and the water disagreed, and what you saw instead.
- Spots that are missing, misnamed, mislocated, private, or not ridable.
- Anything confusing, slow, or broken — on your phone especially.
Known rough edges
- Spot names come from OpenStreetMap and the nearest locality; some are odd until a rider fixes them.
- Outside the US, tides come from a global model and can be off by tens of minutes in enclosed harbours.
- Water-quality advisories are only wired up for Washington State so far.
- Tidal current is only measured where NOAA has a station; elsewhere you get slack times from the tide curve, not speeds.
